Instructions

ButtonBundle unfolded

Fold your ButtonBundle in half lengthwise so that the printed (or chosen) side of the fabric is visible on both the outside and the inside of the ButtonBundle. Hold the ButtonBundle fold side down with the seam at the bottom (near your hip) and the legrails on the inside.

Determine which side you want to carry your baby on. If you want to carry on your right side, then place your right arm and head through the opening. Reverse if you want to carry on the left side.

Pull the fabric down over your shoulder so that the fabric rests between your upper arm and the shoulder side of your collarbone.

Once you get to this point, you can either put the baby in a cradle position or in a hip carry position (see below for instructions on each position).

Putting baby in the ButtonBundle in the cradle position:
(usually used for smaller babies)

Open the two layers of the ButtonBundle and lay baby inside. Most people prefer to put the baby's head on the shoulder side of the ButtonBundle (as opposed to the hip side). Pull the sides up around baby and you're done. Ensure baby's neck and head are aligned properly and comfortably.

Putting baby in the ButtonBundle in the hip carry position:
(baby must be able to hold baby's head up well on their own before using this position)

Pull both layers of the ButtonBundle away from your body. Holding the baby in an upright position over your shoulder, slide baby's legs between the ButtonBundle and your body so that baby's feet come out the bottom.

Arrange baby's legs to straddle your side while sliding the legrails under baby's bottom and upper legs.

Tuck the legrails under so that baby is sitting inside the pouch with baby's upper legs resting comfortably on the legrails.

When baby is properly in the ButtonBundle, baby's bottom should sit lower than their knees.

Adjust the portion of the ButtonBundle behind baby's back (the side without the legrails) by pulling it up under baby's arms. Voila!!! It does get easier with practice.

You can also pull the back side of the Button Bundle up over baby's shoulders (tucking baby's arms inside) if you want extra support. I find that this is useful if the baby is going to be sleeping in the ButtonBundle.

If you find that baby is sitting too far away from you, you can adjust the tightness of the neck opening by folding down (to the outside) the top layer of the ButtonBundle over your shoulder.
